Tree Stump Removal

In most cases we carry this out after a tree felling/removal. However, if you do happen to have an old tree stump in your garden, a “stump grinder” machine makes easy work of stump removal.

Stump grinding involves the removal of stump to a specified depth, generally between 150mm and 300mm. Upon completion, the remaining hole will be back-filled with soil to leave a level surface.

Why have this done?

Stump removal or stump grinding ensures the stump and roots are taken well below ground level so as to enable easy replanting. The levelled area may also be covered in turf or built upon.
